The new Van der Valk Hotel Waalwijk will open its doors in 2027! It will feature a large number of rooms & suites in various luxury categories, a culinary restaurant, various rooms for business and festive events, a hotel bar, and delightful wellness & fitness facilities. The 4-star hotel is located near the A59 close to Waalwijk and just a few minutes from Tilburg. Due to the ideal location, you can also quickly reach Den Bosch or Breda. This hotel is almost within walking distance of the Efteling in Kaatsheuvel, and the Loonse and Drunense Duinen have the most beautiful walking and cycling routes in Brabant.

Environment

The cozy town of Waalwijk is located in the heart of North Brabant. It is not just any town; it is a town full of history! Waalwijk has been the main leather center of the Netherlands since the 16th century, and there are still plenty of entrepreneurs in Waalwijk practicing this trade. Not to be missed is the Dutch Leather and Shoe Museum, which continues under a new name: the Shoe Quarter. The Shoe Quarter opened on June 28, 2022, and is the place to discover the true history of Waalwijk.

Prefer to explore nature on foot or by bike? Cycle over the Meerdijk and enter the Loonse and Drunense Dunes within fifteen minutes or visit the Huis ter Heide nature reserve, which is also definitely worth a visit!
