Environment and activities

After a relaxing night, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast. The area where Hotel Stein-Urmond is located offers various possibilities. Very nice for children are the Steinerbos and Kasteelpark Born. These are located just a few minutes away from our hotel. The Steinerbos has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a play forest, and a covered playground.

Due to the central location of our hotel, several cities are easily accessible. Think for example of our cozy capital Maastricht or Sittard, a pleasant city close to our hotel, ideal for a day of shopping. Can't get enough of shopping? Just across the border lies the Outlet Village in Maasmechelen and half an hour away the Designer Outlet in Roermond.

On the way in Valkenburg

Another city that makes our region attractive is Valkenburg. Known for its marl caves, but also a day of wellness at Thermae 2OOO is an option. Some well-known cities just a stone's throw away are Aachen and Liège. Within half an hour's drive, you can also visit Europe's largest indoor ski hall SnowWorld in Landgraaf. In addition, GaiaZOO Kerkrade guarantees a day of entertainment. The zoo has been voted the most beautiful zoo in the Benelux four times and awarded ANWB's 'Most Fun Outing in the Netherlands' in 2020.  

Furthermore, in the surroundings of the hotel, you can enjoy numerous hiking and cycling routes, with the Limburg Hills and Marl region being particularly suitable for this.
